Point Reyes National Seashore is a stunning intersection of terrestrial and marine environments, set apart from the crowded human sprawl of the San Francisco Bay Area megalopolis. It invites a meditation on what resides inside rare open space; moreover, it invites the question of how 'natural' is open space that is not able to healthily perpetuate the native species that originally lived there?
