The Interior Department has ordered that trails used by bicyclists be opened to e-bikes. Many worry that if the Gallatin makes permanent mountain bike riding in the Hyalite-Porcupine-Buffalo Horn wilderness study area that e-bikes could one-day be granted access too, degrading the habitat security that wildlife need.
