CWD was first diagnosed in southeastern Wyoming %28marked in yellow%29 and over the last three decades has expanded in deer herds.  The disease is now bearing down on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in the northwest corner of the state and  pressing up against the states of both Montana and Idaho.
