In Greater Yellowstone, the wilderness movement is getting its groove back, thanks to the foursome of women leading the Wyoming Wilderness Association. Wherever wilderness needs an advocate, they are there encouraging citizens young and old to get involved. In 2019, WWA was among the supporters pushing for creation of Public Lands Day signed into law this spring by Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon. WWA plans to celebrate the new state holiday in September by hosting its Run for the Red (Desert) foot race. Photo courtesy Wyoming Wilderness Association
