Gabriela "Gaby" Curtiz is the first woman nature tourism guide in the history of Mozambique's Gorongosa National Park. Born in the park gateway village of Gorongosa Vila, she is recognized as an emerging thought leader and role model for others of her generation. Fluent in four languages, Curtiz says her dream is to gain a degree in business at an American university and then start her own nature-tourism company so she can create jobs for local Mozambicans. Mountain Journal is happy to welcome her as a correspondent.
