Heralding from Larkspur, Colorado, Leigh Walden is passionate about writing, photographing and recording stories that are relevant and meaningful to the communities she serves. With news experience from NPR, Alaska Public Media and The Denver Post some people (including Leigh) are confused why she studied computer science at Colorado College. As the 2025 fire reporting intern, Leigh will help shed light on the fire season as it progresses and the different ways that fires and environments are changing here in Montana.
