Luther Propst is an elected member of the Teton County, Wyoming Commission (governing body for the county that encompasses Jackson Hole). Propst is known around the West for founding The Sonoran Institute which, for decades, has focused on community conservation. While retired from Sonoran, he has remained active in addressing big picture challenges involving human development footprint, maintaining wildlife, sustainable equitable economies, ecological integrity and rural culture.
