Artworks Of The Week: 'Keep Yourself In The Light'

Watercolorist Rod Crossman finds inspiration in the words of Norman Maclean

As this long weekend begins, reflect again on how lucky we are to have nature in our lives—and if we know someone to whom it is lacking we hold the power to make an introduction.

We are sharing this watercolor by wildlife artist Rod Crossman who observes: "Can you find me in this painting? ... if you look closely you might notice how I also echo the shape of the moose antlers in the background glaciers. Norman Maclean wrote about the secret to seeing....'First you notice something visible, then you’ll notice something less visible, and finally you will see something invisible.' Keep yourself in the light."
