The Gallatin Forest Partnership is asking that about half of the Wild Gallatins that could be protected as Wilderness be given it. "Imagine if they had been the forces behind the effort to create Yellowstone," Scalia says. "If that had been the case, we would have half of Yellowstone as a we know it today."
