Cartoonist John Potter says in many parts of the backcountry, any 'balance' between the desires of outdoor recreationists and the needs of sensitive wildlife is out of whack
This week John Potter finds inspiration in the recent controversy involving a clash between backcountry skiers in Wyoming's Tetons and a remnant and dwindling herd of bighorn sheep that are left stressed by off-piste skiers and snowboarders invading their winter haunts. "It's All Relative," a nature cartoon by Potter—who is erstwhile a respected fine art painter of wildlife and Western landscapes—appears exclusively at Mountain Journal (mountainjournal.org).
