First, some essential biographical information that you think I should include in my introduction before the Q and A.
I was born and raised in rural Virginia, Sperryville, VA. I was a competitive horseback rider in a sport called Three-Day Eventing in my younger years before coming to Missoula, Montana for college. I studied photojournalism at University of Montana, and have since made my way as a photographer’s assistant, freelancer and National Geographic Young Explorer.
